Today as we speedily progress towards becoming a planet of 9 Billion people, we have certainly made significant strides in technology, health, and the overall quality of life in comparison to our ancestors. Apart from the cultural and demographic changes that have occurred over last several hundred years due to globalization, one thing that set us apart is our knowledge. Access to basic necessities is much easier now but one thing that uplifts us and moves us forward as a society is our education.



It is often said that education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world, better than you found it. So is the belief of Dr. Suhyun An. After being born and raised in Korea, she came to the United States at the age of 14 without any knowledge of the English language. Despite the obstacles that she faced, Suhyun completed her schooling and ultimately graduated high school with an exceptional grade point average exceeding the 4.0 GPA scale.


Dr. An firmly resonates with spreading the light of education across the world, especially to those who face hurdles and obstacles in their quest for education due to financial deficiencies. Through her studies and awareness of the generation impact an inability to afford college creates economically, mentally, and opportunistically in communities, Dr. Suhyun An decided to do something about it.


Dr. Suhyun created her scholarship program specifically with the goal of providing much needed financial assistance to students pursuing a career as a medical professional. The Dr. Suhyun An Scholarship was founded as an extension of her philanthropic endeavors to college and university students. The primary objective of this scholarship is to minimize and ease the financial burden that these young, determined minds encounter throughout their journeys in college.


The Dr. Suhyun An Scholarship awards $2,000 to two students annually. Scholarship applicants must have a minimum weighted GPA of 3.0, two academic or professional references, and submit an essay detailing his or her interest in the medical field in. Video submissions are also welcomed and encouraged but are not a mandatory requirement.


Today Dr. Suhyun An is a well-established chiropractor, author, and a highly-requested speaker. The Dr. Suhyun An Scholarship is her way to give back to the young men and women who are the future of medical progress and advancement.
