Dr. Suhyun An Scholarship

The Dr. Suhyun An Scholarship is a awarded to 2 students annually who exemplify a commitment to academic excellence in pursuit of a career in the medical field. To be eligible, students must have a minimum of a 3.0 weighted gpa, two academic or professional references, and submit an essay of 500-800 words detailing why he or she is pursuing a career in the medical field. Video essay submissions are accepted and encouraged, but are not mandatory..

Meet Dr. Suhyun An

Dr. Suhyun An, DC, MSN, NP-C is a respected medical professional, a highly requested speaker, published author, and one of the go-to experts for chronic pain treatment in the Houston area. Dr. An was born and raised in Korea, immigrating to the United States at the age of 14 with zero knowledge of the English language. Despite this, through her exceptional discipline and perseverance, she excelled in her studies, ultimately graduating high school with over a 4.0 gpa.

A Passionate Professional

Following high school, Dr. An went on to attend and obtain 4 degrees from a number of prestigious institutions including the University of Houston, where she received her Bachelor’s in Biochemistry. She then attended The Parker College of Chiropractic where she was a cum laude graduate, and became a doctor of Chiropractic Medicine. Dr. An gained an additional degree in nursing from Wayland Baptist University and went on to receive her Masters Degree in Nursing Science from Sanford University.

Excellence In Education & Medicine

Further exemplifying her passion and commitment to excellence and medicine, Dr. An received her Master's degree in nursing to become a nurse practitioner. In an effort to share her years of knowledge and experience, Dr. Suhyun An published 2 books that are currently available on Amazon. Dr. An is passionate about sharing her expertise in regenerative medicine and has impressively always owned and operated her own clinic. Now she is extending her philanthropic endeavors to include supporting college and university students in pursuit of a career in the medical field through the Dr. Suhyun An Scholarship.
